Renovations for Reverence


The Cathedral's upgrade are being made to enrich liturgy for parishioners and diocese.
The renovations are due to be completed in the next two years.

The first phase of the project involves moving the image of the Lamb of God from its present location
of the
Sacred Heart altar to the main altar, this should be completed before Christmas of 2008.

The next phase, the installation of the new baptismal fountain, is set to be completed by Easter of 2009.
(This item has been competed - see photos.)

The remaining phases (included are the relocation of the tabernacle,  placement of the sacramental oils
(see photos), & upgrade to cathedra - bishop's chair ) will be worked on during the summer months of 2009, specifically from June to September, with the entire project completed by Oct. 4, 2009, the feast of St. Francis of Assisi. (This item has been competed - see photos.)

To complete the renovation the statues of Mary, Joseph, St. Therese and St. Anthony have been moved to the former Baptistry. (This item has been competed - see photos.)
