Jesus asked His disciples to
answer a question. Only Peter got the answer correct; he knew that Jesus was
the Christ, the Son of the Living God. For this answer Jesus declared
Peter the rock on which He would build His Church. Is God calling you to
continue building His Church today? Does the Lord want you to do this as a

"Discernment Group Meetings for Men"
Is Priesthood or Religious Life a possibility for you? If so, the Office of Vocations, Diocese of Metuchen would like you to join us for our monthly Discernment Group, open to men ages 18 - 45 who wish to discern God’s will and find out more about Priesthood and Religious Life. Location: St. John Vianney House of Discernment, 625 Florida Grove Road, Hopelawn.

Family Prayer for Vocations
God, Our Father, we thank You for blessing us with a wonderful family. Watch over us, keep us save, and help us to always love each other.
Thank You for blessing us with a wonderful Church family, and for the gifts of Priests, Religious Sisters and Brothers that minister to Your Church. They help us to live according to Your Word. They guide us Lord to know You in all things. Continue to bless and strengthen them Lord.
Dear God, please send more men and women to serve You and Your Church. We pray that if it is Your will, members of our family will hear and and answer Your call to serve You as a Priest, Religious Sister or Brother, so that generations to come will continue to share in the joy we know in You.

Teen's Prayer for Vocations
Jesus, through You I have come to know God, our Father. You have taught me how to pray, and how to live my life according to God’s plan for me.
Lord, you have a plan for the Priests, Religious Sisters and Brothers who serve God and minister to our church so willingly. Bless them, Lord, and keep them filled with your Spirit. Strengthen them all in faith and in the love they have for God and His people.
Loving God, help me, through Your wisdom and understanding, to discover my vocation in life. And if it is Your Will, help me to be strong and be willing to follow the path to You as your Priest, Religious Sister or Religious Brother. Guide my parents and family and friends, too, on their paths, and help us all to be loving and encouraging to one another as we try to follow You in all things.
Amen.
