After this I had a vision of a great multitude,
which no one could count,
from every nation, race, people, and tongue.
They stood before the throne and before the Lamb,
wearing white robes and holding palm branches in their hands.
They cried out in a loud voice:

"Salvation comes from our God, who is seated on the throne,
and from the Lamb."- Revelation

“Hope is the Holy Spirit that’s poured out within us – that special grace that always keeps our eye on eternal life, even on the darkest days.

In my travels, I often see people who seem to be on the border line of losing hope. A child has lost the faith, maybe they’ve lost their job, maybe their spouse no longer looks them in the eye, or a spouse has left them, or maybe something else has gone wrong and they’re just moping around. It’s tough, it’s miserable.

I’m going to talk about how we can hold onto hope in a world that wants to suck it away from us. How men can not only maintain hope but also dig very deep within themselves when there is a collapse. How the saints, Christ and men through the ages retained hope knowing that even on the toughest and darkest nights, God is always by your side, especially when we are suffering the most.

Hope is the weapon that sustains us when we’re struggling. As Saint Paul said, hope is the sure and steadfast anchor of the soul that never disappoints.”

Let nothing disturb you. Let nothing make you afraid. All things are passing. God alone never changes. Patience gains all things. If you have God, you will want for nothing. God alone suffices- St. Teresa of Avila

I am a poor shepherd, I have only a wretched stable, a small manger, some wisps of straw. I offer all these to you, be pleased to come into my poor hovel. Make haste, O Jesus, I offer you my heart; my soul is poor and bare of virtues, the straws of so many imperfections will prick you and make you weep - but O my Lord what can you expect? this little is all I have. - St. John XXIII
